First time gardeners or black thumbs need as little barriers to entry as possible. It’s overwhelming to consider what soil your plant needs, as well as what fertilizer and pot size. Create a package for customers to purchase without the hesitation. Then, they know what items to repurchase the next time they’re in. Why is it best that all of these items are created by the greenhouse or a branded collaboration? It tells the customers that these are products you back, and specially created for them. This is important when gardeners don’t understand zones, water distribution in various soils or annuals vs perennials. By creating your package deal, you instill confidence.
Labeling Your Customized Product Line
Labeling your line is important. Do you want every item to have a cohesive, branded look? Do you want your plants’ labels to look distinctly different from your soil labels? While this may not matter in the grand scheme of things, imagine how out of place a new product line would look if it had a separate label design from every other product line. That is, unless this product is your calling card.
These labels should also cross promote items you sell. You succulents should advertise your cacti soil, your succulent planters or any accessories you have. A booklet-style label would be ideal for giving you the space to spread out this information without detracting from your standard label design.
