Hoya is also known as the waxplant, waxvine, or waxflower. It is a tropical, so naturally, it is native to many East Asian countries. These evergreen plants are mostly vines, or creepers. However, they even pop up as shrubs from time to time. Also, their leaves come in a variety of forms – velvety, soft, hairy, ect. Instead of one bloom, flowers grow in umbels, and in some species, so the flowers can reach to over 3 inches in diameter. They even frequently appear to only be as big as 2cm in diameter.
