Wreaths are not just for christmastime and winter holidays.  Show your customers how to reuse what they have, or buy products you offer to add life to their home throughout the season. It’s as simple as providing in-store classes or helpful content on your products’ labels.

Recycle Holiday Decor For Post-Holiday Wreaths

Since your customers may have garlands, trees, berries, or fruit (as seen in the image above) kicking around their house, get them to use it. Host a “Bring Your Own Supplies” night where customers either purchase your supplies or use their own. This encourages re-use of decor they’ll otherwise throw away, and brings new life to their home. It also engages their creative side and keeps them thinking about how plants enhance their home.

Demonstrate Simple Alternatives

Simpe alternatives, such as this dried flower option, give newbies a starting point. A large, intricate wreath is overwhelming for some, while others prefer minimalism in their decor. Show them how to re-use old bouquets, garden scrap, and discounted plants in store. It’s as simple as creating a video tutorial or picture-heavy blog tutorial.

Spark Imaginations With Informative Labels

Single panel labels are great, but booklet-style labels are better. They just are. Use the expanded content panels to provide simple, Ikea-style tutorials on how to grow the plant and eventually turn it’s trimmings into a wreath. Or, use labeling technology to link customers to your classes, video blogs, and blogs that help them with their project. Keep them interested in plants throughout the winter to keep them interested in coming back to your store.
