Labeling Companion Plants With Images
Use basic imagery to inspire customers and educate them about what plants work well together. On a tomato plant’s label, include a small image of a basil plant with value point graphics making the communication understandable, but also specially optimized. Or, use a booklet-style label to expand your space. This also allows space for larger images, or provides more room to incorporate links (like a simple QR code) to external content. So, the topic then isn’t covered on the label itself, but the label acts as a gateway to a more comprehensive video guide, e-book, or blog.
Simple Secondary Labels For Seasonal Appeal
That said, there’s no need to redesign a label mid-way through the season. Consider adding a simple black and white secondary label to your packaging. So, consider a design that states what pairs well with the plant, and include basic value points so customers understand why. This allows you to continue using the current labels or tags, but adds extra value. It also provides the opportunity to change the recommendations with the seasons.
